Our instructors create an exciting class designed to instill the joy of dance and movement while establishing a solid foundation in a positive and captivating environment.

Beginner Hip Hop

Our preschool beginner hip hop dance classes provide students ages 4-6 a fun and engaging first look into the art of dance. In this class, your dancer will enjoy learning basic jazz steps, hip hop movements, coordination, improvisation and classroom etiquette.

Additional classes available: Beginner Dance/Cheer Tumbling

Elementary

Our elementary program emphasizes proper technique, terminology, and dance concepts of ballet, tap and jazz. In these classes, your dancer will continue to build their dance technique with proper instruction from our dedicated and professional teachers.

As students progress in their motor development and dance terminology, intricacy is further explored.  Regular study in beginner or intermediate levels of ballet, jazz and tap provides these young dancers with a sense of discipline that will carry over into all aspects of their lives.

Dancers taking jazz are also required to take ballet.

Additional classes available: Hip Hop and Dance/Cheer Tumbling

Pre-Company

This hand-picked class is assembled by our instructors for the purpose of preparing dancers for the demands of performing with the Junior Company. These classes aim to boost brainpower through exercise, increasing blood flow and oxygen to the brain through dancing, so our students are challenged both mentally and physically.

Pre-Company 1

In this class, emphasis is on creative phrasing while increasing strength and technical ability. It will also improve social and behavioral skills through the teaching of dance classroom etiquette. Your dancer will typically begin training in pre-company 1 for at least a year prior to moving into pre-company 2.

Pre-Company 2

Pre-company 2 is for dancers whose minds and bodies are ready for a deeper understanding and discipline. We focus heavily on terminology and a wider range of movements, combinations and choreography. Dancers in this class are actively training and preparing to eventually audition and move into Junior Company.

Dancers are required to take ballet.

Additional classes available: Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary and Dance/Cheer Tumbling

Junior Company

Chosen by audition, these dancers increase their study, are given the unique opportunity to choreograph, and are allowed to perform more often.  These advanced students begin to flourish as performers when their creative and technical abilities grow. Junior Company dancers perform at our annual Giving Tree Party, Hunger Dance Benefit concert, annual recital.

This level of instruction will further increase the dancers foundation of ballet technique, dance movements, principals and understanding of basic anatomy to help promote the development of healthy dancers. Junior Company dancers are required to take class multiple times per week as they are ready for the full commitment to the understanding of ballet and other dance forms.

Dancers are required to take ballet, pre-pointe/pointe, contemporary and stretch/strength/conditioning

Additional classes available: Jazz Funk, Tap, Hip Hop, Lyrical, and Dance/Cheer Tumbling

Senior Company

Chosen by a strict audition process, these dancers are our principal performers.  They are showcased in the lead roles in our annual recital, and become role models for the younger dancers.  Because ballet naturally lends itself to discipline (and at this level, demands excellent time management skills), these lovely ballerinas shoulder the responsibility of their celebrity status with grace. Senior Company dancers perform at our annual Giving Tree Party, Hunger Dance Benefit concert, and annual recital.

Senior Company dancers have a strong foundation and deep understanding of ballet technique, dance movements, terminology, and detailed combinations. At this level of instruction, the dancers discipline will be sharpened and perfected. Senior Company members are given pre-professional level choreography and are encouraged to choreograph their own works of art as well.
